Author and local historian Jeanette Taylor and author/editor Annette Yourk are teaming up to offer a one of a kind workshop series on writing biographies and local history.

In five lively sessions, beginning Sunday, October 6 through to November 10, from 1pm to 4pm, Taylor and Yourk will provide a wealth of information on historical research and coach those with a Grade Ten or better writing skills to gain confidence with short, in-class exercises.

They have arranged for several large web-based research sources, like Paper of Record, to be available during the course, and will reserve an extra half hour at the end of each class for one on one tutorials.

The fee for the class is $140.00.  THE CLASS IS FULL.  PLEASE CONTACT THE MUSEUM IF YOU WISH TO BE PLACED ON THE WAITLIST.

Jeanette Taylor is a BC historian and presenter known for such books as River City, Tidal Passages and the Quadra Story.

Annette Yourk graduated from SFU’s Writing and Publishing program and has had many years experience as a writer, editor and adult instructor.
