Danny Brown, longtime museum volunteer tells the story of Ripple Rock on Knowledge Network, in a segment of Canada Over the Edge.  The episode, entitled Vancouver Island's Eastern Shoreline, first airs March 5th, then is scheduled for March 6th and 9th as well.

Pictured here is the film crew from Arcadia Entertainment who filmed Canada Over the Edge West in August 2012.  The Museum assisted the crew when they were here and loaned them archival footage of the Ripple Rock explosion which is used in Danny's episode.  Danny's segment was filmed at the Tyee Spit.

For a sneak preview, watch the video on our Media page http://crmuseum.ca/current-media.

Catherine Gilbert, staff member and author of Yorke Island and the Uncertain War is featured in a later episode where she takes a trip to Yorke Island with the film crew and talks about this unusual World War II fort.  It will be aired on Knowledge sometime in April.
