The Ripple Rock Explosion Anniversary
April 5, 2008


Crowds lined the foreshore for the opening ceremony and re-enacted "blast" on April 5, 2008, the 50th anniversary of the Ripple Rock Explosion.
"Remembering Ripple Rock," a 40-minute film featuring local residents' memories of the eventful day, premiered to a full house at the Tidemark Theatre during the anniversary events. The entertaining, informative and often humourous anecdotes combined with historic news footage was very well received by the audience.
