2007

• The Weiwaikum Cruise Ship Terminal opens.

• The vision for a cruise ship terminal began in the 1970's.  After years of forming partnerships and raising money, the Campbell River Indian Band and the City of Campbell River came together to build the groundbreaking terminal in 2006.  On June 5, 2007, the Seven Seas Mariner was the first cruise ship to dock in Campbell River.
