• Campbell River's first church, St. Peter's Anglican Church, is constructed - 10 years go by before it is consecrated.
• The Campbell River Board of Trade is formed. In 1950, it became the Campbell River District Chamber of Commerce. |

• The King and Queen of Siam (now Thailand) visit Campbell River.
• The Painter family builds a group of cabins across from their sport fishing tent camp on the Tyee Spit. These are the forerunners of the world famous Painter's Lodge. |

| • Loggers walk off the job at several camps near Campbell River, triggering what was then the largest labour strike in coastal history. After three and a half months, the striking workers successfully negotiate an industry wide 40 cents per hour minimum wage (a 15% increase for Bloedel Stewart and Welch workers). | |
