Chestnuts and Carols coming to the Museum at Campbell River

Once again this year the Museum at Campbell River is presenting Chestnuts and Carols, where you can come try hot chestnuts roasted on site by the Italian Cultural Society, and be treated to an afternoon performance by a talented group of local children.

Chestnuts will be available starting at 1pm.  Starting at 2pm, RainCoast Creative Performing Arts students will be providing the “carols” part of the event.  This year, the group of local musical theatre students will be doing a group of songs from the 1940s including Good morning from Singin' in the Rain, Sit down your rocking the boat from Guys and Dolls, Johnny One note from Babes in Arms and others.  RainCoast students range in age from 5-18 and study singing, choreography, acting and speech arts.

After the performance kids can look forward to a visit from Santa Clause, as well as hot cider and goodies.

This is a free family event that is a part of the Museum’s Festival of Trees and will take place Saturday, December 9 from 1 to 4pm.
