The Annual Haig-Brown lecture will be held on Saturday, September 29 from 7:00pm-9:00pm at the Museum. This year’s lecture will be delivered by the son and daughters Haig-Brown – Alan, Valerie, Mary and Celia. The Haig-Brown Lecture was established in 2010 by the Campbell River Arts Council with the first lecture delivered by Van Egan. In 2011, it was given by Linda Rogers, the Poet Laureate for the City of Victoria. The lecture is intended to focus on issues of sustainability, environmental stewardship, conservation and social justice issues, all matters of great concern for both Roderick Haig-Brown and Ann Haig-Brown (née Elmore).
